Permission Set

Permission Set :
 
    1. If you want to grant any extra permissions for a specific user,then we use permissions set.
     A. You can create 1000 permission set in a one org.
     B. The main difference between the profile and permission sets is that a user can only have one                 profile but they can have multiple permission sets assign to user
     C. You can use the permission sets to grant extra permission to some user without having to                       change their profile
   
Notes:
 1. We can not use in permission set
          1. Page layout
          2. IP ranges &
          3. Login Hours
          4. Desktop client Access

     

    2. Navigation :
        Setup
        |---> Adminster
              |---> Manage Users
                    |---> Permission Set
                          |---> New
   
        Step 1: Enter Permission Set Name
        Step 2: Choose the license
        Step 3: Choose the permissions
        Step 4: save
   
    3. Assign the permission set to a user
        Setup
        |--> Adminster
             |---> Manage Users
                   |---> User
                          |---> Choose the user
                                |---> Assign permission set
