Difference between Group and Queue

Queue=
1. Queue is used for load balancing
2. It is a location where record can be routed to awaited processing by group of monitor .
3. The record remain in the queue until a user accept them for processing or transformed to another queue.
4. We can specify the set of objects(which are supported )  or set of user allowed to retrieve the record.
5. Queue member can be User/Role/Role & Subordinate / Public Group
6. Queue don't have account,contact , opportunity ,product
7.Queue can be created for Custom objects and for Case, Lead and Knowledge Article Version.
8. Queue can contain Public group but Public Group can not contain Queue.

Public Group= 
1. A public group is a set of users.
2. Public Group is solely used for sharing
3. Public Group is kind of team.
4. It can contain individual users, other groups, the users in a particular role or territory, or the users in a role or territory.
5. All of the users below that role or territory in the hierarchy
6. Group can not contain Queue but Queue can contain group.
